I live and work in a place where people look you in the eye and step up to the plate when you need help. I can honestly say that my neighbors have a good sense of what matters in life. I also don’t think I am alone when I scrutinize the value of what I do and how I impact the world. That is part of what makes life’s pleasures so pleasurable. It’s that whole yin and yang thing.
There is no doubt in my mind that we are lucky people and that we should celebrate what we’ve got. That’s why I appreciate this award winning blog post by Evan Dawson, Why Do I Write About Wine?
I try to make the act of drinking wine even more pleasurable, but the act of sharing it with friends and strangers–during the brilliant and exceptional moments that mark our journey in this life is what makes it all worthwhile.
